Whitworth University Pirates Baseball Prospect Day Camp

Come and join the Whitworth University Pirates Baseball Prospect Day Camp. It is a two-day event that will fall on September 8 and 9. It is inviting all advanced level male baseball players from grade 9 to grade 12 who desire to play at the college level. This baseball prospect camp is going to take place at the top-notch Merkel Field which is on the Whitworth University campus. Furthermore, this baseball camp will include skill development instructional session, a pro-style workout, batting practice, competitive games, and evaluation. It is set to start at 9:00 AM on Day 1. The camp registration fee which does not include accommodation is $100 per camper. In addition, running this program is the Whitworth University Pirates baseball coaching staff.
 
Whitworth University, formerly Whitworth College, is a private, coeducational, Christian, liberal arts college in Spokane, Washington. Its name is in honor of George Frederick Whitworth, a Presbyterian missionary, and its founder. Correspondingly, Whitworth University is an affiliation of the Presbyterian Church. As a whole, the university has an accreditation from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Currently, it is accommodating around 2,300 undergraduate students and around 300 postgraduate students. 40 percent of this undergraduate student population are male students and 60 percent are female students. This undergraduate student population is also through a selective enrollment acceptance rate of 89 percent. Correspondingly, Whitworth University’s student to faculty ratio is 11:1. Whitworth University is also among the top universities in the country. In fact, it is 8th in Regional Universities West, 2018 edition of the US News and World Reports Best Colleges rankings. It is also 5th in the Best Colleges for Veterans category, 2nd in the Best Undergraduate Teaching category, and 5th in the Best Value Schools category. In sports, the Whitworth University athletics men’s and women’s teams are playing in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III, Northwest Conference. They are the Pirates or Bucs and their identity colors are crimson and black.
 

Whitworth University Pirates Baseball Prospect Day Camp Organizers

Head Coach CJ Perry, a native of Spokane, Washington, is leading the Whitworth University Pirates baseball team. He is a Whitworth University alumnus with a degree in kinesiology. Coach CJ Perry is now entering his fifth year at the helm of the Pirates baseball program. At the same time, Coach Perry is working as a pitching coordinator for the Club Spokane Dodgers and a Transfer Counselor for Whitworth University’s Admission Department. Coach CJ Perry is in the completion of his master’s degree in Administrative Leadership. Then, the Whitworth Pirates assistant baseball coach is Ryan Cooney, a Northern California native. Coach Ryan Cooney is a California Lutheran University graduate. He is also working as a Director of School and Community Engagement for Summer Search Bay Area. Coach Ryan Cooney is a standout baseball player himself. In fact, he is part of the 2002 All-SCIAC selection. He is also a former Monmouth County Athletic League (MCAL) Co-MVP awardee. Moreover, Kelly Fitzpatrick is the Pirates graduate assistant coach. He is a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Law and Justice Studies graduate from Whitworth University. And finally, Kenny Eilmes is the volunteer assistant coach, an Eastern Oregon State College graduate.
