Whitman College Blues Baseball Preseason Clinic

The Whitman College Blues Baseball Preseason Clinic is for all high school boys who desire to take their game to the next level. It is going to run from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM on the 19th of February. The venue of this baseball clinic is the state of the art Borleske Stadium on the Whitman College campus. In case of rain, the program will be held at the Borleske Indoor Facility. In addition, this training program emphasizes the overall development of a baseball player. It covers batting, catching, pitching, base running, and defense drills. It also includes game strategy analysis and competitive game plays. Moreover, this event provides a venue for outstanding baseball players to display their skills. Running the program is the Whitman College Blues coaching staff and current players. The registration fee includes a free camp t-shirt. Registration is also available for middle school participants.

Whitman College Blues Baseball Preseason Clinic Organizers

Leading the Whitman College Blues baseball program is Head Coach Brian Kitamura. He is now in his third year at the helm of the Whitman College Blues baseball program. Coach Brian Kitamura is a Whitman College alumnus with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He is the Blues former assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. In just four years under his leadership, the Blues baseball has already been into several tournament appearances. Coach Brian Kitamura is also the 2006 “Mr. Islander”. Then, the Whitman College Blues assistant baseball coach is Tommy Richards, an alumnus of the Washington State University. Coach Richards is also a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is with the Blues coaching staff since 2016 initially as a graduate assistant in his first year and a half with the team. Furthermore, Coach Tommy Richards is a former baseball standout himself. In fact, he is the 2010 West Coast Collegiate League Player of the Year. The team’s pitching coach is Bill Sizemore, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physical Education graduate from Cal State Stanislaus. He is among the college baseballs prominent pitching coaches. Finally, the Blues volunteer assistant coach is Blake Treinen. Coach Blake Treinen is with the coaching staff since 2015.
