University of Utah Utes Baseball Summer Showcase

Come and join the University of Utah Utes Baseball Summer Showcase. It is a two-day event that will run from the 20th of July until the 21st of July. The program is for all boys ages 14 and up who are looking to showcase and enhance their baseball skills. Moreover, this baseball program is going to take place at the state of the art Ute Baseball Practice Field which is on the University of Utah campus. The program includes pro-style workout, player evaluation, and scrimmages. There will also be baserunning sessions, batting practice, and defensive instruction drills. Furthermore, the camp registration fee is $200. The participants need to bring their own baseball bat, gloves, helmet and other gears and equipment. This event is an initiative of the University of Utah Utes baseball coaching staff. The program starts at 9 o’clock in the morning.
 
The University of Utah, formerly the University of Deseret, is a public, coeducational, flagship, space-grant university in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is the flagship university of the Utah System of Higher Education. The university is also a member of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities. Currently, the University of Utah has around 23,800 undergraduate students and around 8,100 postgraduate students. The undergraduate student population is through a selective enrollment acceptance rate of 76 percent. The University of Utah is using a semester-based academic calendar and is one of the nation’s bests. As a matter of fact, the university is 110th in National Universities of the 2018 edition of the US News and World Reports Best Colleges rankings. In sports, the University of Utah fields its men’s and women’s collegiate teams in the Pac-12 Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I. Their nickname is Utes and red and white are their official colors. Additionally, the Utah Utes baseball team has already four conference championships. The team also has five NCAA Tournament appearances and one College World Series appearance.
 

University of Utah Utes Baseball Summer Showcase Organizers

Head Coach Bill Kinneberg is leading the University of Utah Utes baseball team. He is now in his 15th year at the reins of the Utes baseball program. Coach Bill Kinneberg is an alumnus of the University of Arizona. He is also a master’s degree earner from the University of Texas at El Paso. In addition, Coach Bill Kinneberg is the 2016 Pac-12 Conference Coach of the Year awardee. He is also the 1990 Western Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. Ultimately, under his watch, the Utes has advanced twice to the NCAA Tournament. The Utes associate head coach is Mike Crawford, a native of Tucson, Arizona. He is at the same time the team’s recruiting coordinator. Coach Mike Crawford is now in his 10th season with the Utes coaching staff. He is the 1998  Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) Pitcher of the Year awardee. Then, the team’s assistant baseball coach is Jay Brossman. Coach Brossman is an alumnus of the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. He is now in his seventh season with the coaching staff. The Utes volunteer assistant coach is Parker Guinn. Finally, Sydney Jones is the director of baseball operations.
