University of Tampa Spartans Baseball Prospect Camp

Join the University of Tampa Spartans Baseball Prospect Camp. It will fall on the 16th of June at the top-notch Spartan Baseball Field which is in the University of Tampa campus. This baseball prospect camp is especially for those with strong interest at playing in the collegiate level. In addition, this baseball camp will cover hitting, fielding, pitching, and catching skills evaluation. There will also be a campus and a college recruiting seminar. The camp registration fee is $175 per player. Furthermore, this baseball event is requesting all participants to bring their own baseball bat, hat, helmet, cleats, gloves, and sneakers. It will be under the direction of the University of Tampa Spartans baseball coaching staff.

University of Tampa Spartans Baseball Prospect Camp Organizers

Joe Urso, a native of Tampa, Florida is the head coach of the University of Tampa Spartans baseball team. He is a University of Tampa graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business management. Coach Joe Urso is now entering his 19th year at the helm of the Spartans baseball program. Ultimately, Coach Joe Urso is a three-time National Coach of the Year awardee. He is also an eighth time Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year and an inductee into the 2006 University of Tampa Athletics Hall of Fame. Coach Joe Urso has led the Spartans into four NCAA National Championships. He is holding an overall coaching win-loss record of 786-228-1. Then, the University of Tampa Spartans associate head coach is Sam Militello. Coach Sam Militello is also an alumnus of the University of Tampa. Coach Militello is an inductee into both the University of Tampa Athletics Hall of Fame and Sunshine State Conference Hall of Fame. He is now in his 18th season with the coaching staff. Moreover, the Spartans assistant baseball coaches are Jose Jimenez, Scott McNulty, and Mark Johnson. Coach Jose Jimenez is at the same time the team’s recruiting coordinator. He is in his sixth season with the coaching staff. Coach Mark Johnson is also the Head JV Coach.
