The University of North Carolina at Wilmington Seahawks Prospect Camp is inviting all male baseball players 15 years old and up who aspire to play at the college level. This three-hour event will provide the opportunity for outstanding to showcase their skills in front of the university’s recruiting staff. This program will fall on the 12th of July at the top-notch Brooks Field which is on the University of North Carolina at Wilmington campus. In addition, the program is set to run from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM. Check-in starts at 6:00 PM. This event is an initiative of the university’s baseball coaching staff. The registration fee is $95 per player. Overall, it will be a challenging but enjoyable experience.

Head Coach Mark Scalf is leading the University of North Carolina at Wilmington Seahawks baseball team. He is now in his 27th year at the reins of the Seahawks baseball program. Coach Mark Scalf is an alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Ultimately, he is a five-time CAA Coach of the Year awardee. Under his leadership, the Seahawks has already nine CAA regular-season championships and four CAA tournament championships. Coach Mark Scalf is now holding an overall coaching win-loss record of 870-653-1. Then, the Seahawks associate head coach is Randy Hood, a native of Goldsboro, North Carolina. Coach Randy Hood is a bachelor’s degree in sports fitness/administration graduate from the University of Birmingham. He is also a master’s degree in exercise science graduate from Campbell University. Coach Randy Hood is with the Seahawks coaching staff since the 2001 season. Moreover, the team’s assistant coach is Chris Moore. He is now entering his second season with the coaching staff. Coach Chris Moore is an alumnus of Western Carolina University. He is the 11th round pick of the Colorado Rockies in the 1999 Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft. And finally, the University of North Carolina at Wilmington Seahawks director of baseball operations is Josh Stott.
