University of North Carolina at Charlotte 49ers Summer Showcase Camp

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte 49ers Summer Showcase Camp is especially for high-level baseball players in grade 9 up to grade 12 who are interested in playing at the college level. It is a two-day program that will run on August 11 and August 12. It is going to take place at the Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium which is on the University of North Carolina at Charlotte campus. Furthermore, this baseball showcase camp includes positional breakdown and drills, offensive and defensive workout, and competitive games. The program is set to start at 8:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM on Day 1 and start at 9:00 AM and end at 12:45 PM on Day 2.

University of North Carolina at Charlotte 49ers Summer Showcase Camp Organizers

Leading the University of North Carolina at Charlotte 49ers baseball team is Head Coach Loren Hibbs. He is now entering his 26th year at the helm of the 49ers baseball program. Coach Loren Hibbs is an alumnus of Wichita State University. Ultimately, he is the 1998 Conference USA Coach of the Year and the 2007 Atlantic 10 Conference Coach of the Year. Coach Hibbs led the Charlotte 49ers baseball team to two Metro Conference regular-season titles and one Metro Conference Tournament championship. He also led the team to four Atlantic 10 regular-season titles, three Atlantic 10 Tournament championships, and one Conference USA Tournament championship. Then, the 49ers assistant baseball coaches are Bo Robinson and Shohn Doty. Coach Bo Robinson is with the coaching staff since the 2012 season. He is a bachelor’s degree in history graduate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is the 1999 Seattle Mariners Minor League Player of the Year. Coach Robinson is also the Director of Player Development at On Deck Baseball Skill Development Academy. Finally, Coach  Shohn Doty, a native of Springdale, Arkansas, is now in his second season with the coaching staff. He is a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education graduate from Arkansas Tech University.
