The University of Nevada Las Vegas Baseball Showcase Camp is inviting all male high school to junior college baseball players. It is a two-day event that will run from August 18 to August 19. This baseball showcase camp is going to take place at the state of the art Earl E. Wilson Stadium which is on the University of Nevada Las Vegas campus. In addition, this program provides an opportunity for exceptional baseball players to display their skills and become a college baseball student-athlete. It includes specialized position workout, a pro-style workout, a batting practice, and skills evaluation. There will also be a campus and a question and answer session with the university’s baseball coaching staff and current players.

Head Coach Stan Stolte, a native of Lowden, Iowa, is leading the University of Nevada Las Vegas Rebels baseball team. He is a bachelor’s degree in physical education graduate from St. Ambrose University. Coach Stan Stolte is also a master’s degree in education graduate from Northwest Missouri State University. He is now in his third season at the helm of the Rebels baseball program. Additionally, Coach Stolte is the team’s former associate head coach. Then, the University of Nevada Las Vegas Rebels associate head coach is Kevin Higgins. Coach Higgins is now in his eighth season with the coaching staff. He is an alumnus of Arizona State University (ASU). Coach Higgins is also a former outstanding baseball player. In fact, he is the 12th round pick of the San Diego Padres in the 1989 Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft. He is also a recipient of the ASU’s Mr. Sun Devil Award for Leadership. Moreover, the Rebels assistant baseball coach is Patrick Armstrong, a native of Woodbridge, California. Coach Armstrong is a University of Nevada Las Vegas graduate. He is now entering his third season with the coaching staff. The team’s volunteer assistant coach is Greg Maddux. he is at the same time the team’s pitching coach.
