The University of Nebraska Huskers Baseball Prospect Summer Camp is set to run from 8 o’clock in the morning until 6 o’clock in the afternoon on the 7th of August. It is open to advanced male baseball players in grade 8 up to grade 12. The venue of this baseball showcase camp is the state of the art Haymarket Park in Lincoln, Nebraska. Furthermore, this baseball camp aims at expanding the participant’s overall baseball skills. It will also provide the participants an exposure to a college-level training environment and competition. It is ideal for those who desire to become a college baseball student-athlete. In addition, this baseball prospect camp is under the direction of the University of Nebraska Huskers baseball coaching staff.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is a public, coeducational, land-grant, research university in Lincoln, Nebraska. It is the first and largest member of the University of Nebraska system. University of Nebraska Huskers Baseball Prospect Summer Camp Organizers
The head coach of the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers baseball team is Darin Erstad, a native of Jamestown, North Dakota. Coach Darin Erstad is an alumnus of the University of Nebraska. He is now entering his sixth year at the helm of the Huskers baseball program. Ultimately, Coach Darin Erstad is the 2017 Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year awardee. He led the Huskers to six Big Ten Tournament appearances and three NCAA Tournament appearances. Coach Erstad is now holding a stellar head coaching win-loss record of 211-141-1. Additionally, Coach Erstad is the 1st round pick of the 1995 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. He was also the 1995 Big Eight Co-Player of the Year. The Huskers associate head coach is Ted Silva, a native of Redondo Beach, California. The Cal State Fullerton alumnus is with the Huskers coaching staff since the 2011 season. At the same time, he is the team’s recruiting coordinator. Coach Ted Silva is the 1995 Big West Conference Pitcher of the Year. Then, the Huskers assistant baseball coach is Mike Kirby who is now in his fourth season with the coaching staff. Coach Mike Kirby who hails from Huntington Beach, California, is also an alumnus of Cal State Fullerton. He is a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology graduate. Jeff Tezak is the volunteer assistant coach. Finally, Jake Schleppenbach is the undergraduate assistant coach.
