University of Illinois at Chicago Flames Baseball Prospect Camp
The University of Illinois at Chicago Flames Baseball Prospect Camp is inviting all high school boys in the graduating classes of 2019, 2020, and 2021. This baseball camp is intended for those who are interested to become a college baseball student-athlete. This event will run from 9:00 AM until 2:30 PM on the 8th of August. Moreover, this baseball prospect camp is going to take place at the leading-edge Curtis Granderson Stadium which is on the University of Illinois at Chicago campus. The program includes a 60-yard dash, hitting stations, and games. It is also set to maintain a 5:1 camper to staff ratio. Thus, registration is on a first come first served basis. It will be under the direction of the Flames baseball coaching staff.

Mike Dee is the head coach of the University of Illinois at Chicago Flames baseball team. He is an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. Coach Mike Dee is leading the University of Illinois at Chicago Flames baseball team since the 1999 season. Ultimately, Coach Mike Dee is a ten-time Horizon League Coach of the Year awardee. He is also the 2017 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Mideast Region Coach of the Year and the 2007 Division I College Coach of the Year. Coach Mike Dee is one of the 30 greatest Division I college coaches of all-time in Illinois. Then, Sean McDermott is the Flames associate head coach. Coach Sean McDermott is now in his 18th season with the coaching staff. He is a bachelor’s degree graduate from Lincoln Memorial University. Furthermore, the University of Illinois at Chicago Flames assistant baseball coach is John Flood, a native of Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Coach John Flood is an alumnus of the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in finance. Jake Portugal, a bachelor’s degree in communications graduate from Wheaton College, is the Flames volunteer assistant coach. He is also a master’s degree in Exercise Science graduate from Azusa Pacific University. Finally, John Zigmond is the director of baseball operations.
