University of Delaware Blue Hens Instructional Baseball Showcase Camp

The University of Delaware Blue Hens Instructional Baseball Showcase Camp is going to run from the 20th of June until the 21st of June. It is a commuter camp that will take place at the Bob Hannah Stadium, the home of the University of Delaware Blue Hens baseball team. This two-day baseball showcase camp is available to all high school boys in the graduating classes of 2019, 2020, and 2021. In addition, the program’s daily schedule is set to start at 10 o’clock in the morning and end at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. The camp cost is $300 per camper. This includes a free camp t-shirt. Furthermore, this event will be under the supervision of the Blue Hens baseball coaching staff and current players. Since it is a commuter camp, the participants are responsible for their own accommodations.

University of Delaware Blue Hens Instructional Baseball Showcase Camp Organizers

Head Coach Jim Sherman, a native of New Castle, Delaware, is leading the University of Delaware Blue Hens baseball team. He is now in his 18th year at the helm of the university’s baseball program and in his 24th year overall. Coach Jim Sherman is an alumnus of the University of Delaware. Furthermore, Coach Jim Sherman is a six-time District 19 Coach of the Year and a two-time Area 9 Coach of the Year. He is also the 2007 Colonial Athletic Association Coach of the Year awardee. Ultimately, under his guidance, the Blue Hens baseball team has already a Colonial Athletic Association Tournament title. The team’s associate head coach is Dan Hammer, a native of North East, Maryland. The 2018 season will be his 22nd season with the Blue Hens baseball coaching staff. Coach Hammer is a University of Delaware alumnus with a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology and technical management. Coach Hammer is the 2003 AFLAC National Assistant Coach of the Year awardee. Then, the team’s pitching coach is Troy O’Neal. Scott Grimes is the volunteer assistant coach and Michael Awtry is the student assistant coach. And finally, Jacob Prettyman and AJ Richardson are the student managers.
