University of Connecticut Huskies Summer Baseball Camp

Come and join the University of Connecticut Huskies Summer Baseball Camp. It is a whole-day event that will run from 9 o’clock in the morning until 5 o’clock in the afternoon on the 20th of June. The training program will cover pitching, catching, hitting, infield and outfield plays, and pro-style workout. Furthermore, this event is inviting all and any high school boys 14 to 18 years of age. The baseball camp is going to take place at the Christian Field / Mark R. Shenkman Training Center on the University of Connecticut campus. Registration starts at 8:15 in the morning. Moreover, this high-level baseball summer is an initiative of the University of Connecticut Huskies baseball coaching staff. It aims at providing top-notch high school baseball players a venue to showcase their amazing skills. The program will also include a strength and conditioning and college recruiting processes discussion.
 
The University of Connecticut, originally Storrs Agricultural School, is a public, coeducational, land-grant, sea-grant, space-grant, research university in Storrs, Connecticut. University of Connecticut Huskies Summer Baseball Camp Organizers

Leading the University of Connecticut Huskies baseball team is Head Coach Jim Penders, a native of Vernon, Connecticut. He is now in his 15th season at the helm of the university’s baseball program. Coach Jim Penders is a University of Connecticut alumnus with a degree in political science. It is also where he earned his master’s degree in education. In addition, Coach Jim Penders is a four-time conference Coach of the Year awardee. He is also a three-time New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association Coach of the Year awardee. Ultimately, under his leadership, the Huskies has already a conference regular season and tournament championship. Coach Penders is an inductee to the National High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame and the ECHS Hall of Fame. Then, the team’s associate head coach is Jeff Hourigan. Coach Hourigan is in his seventh year with the coaching staff. He is the 2001 Gatorade Connecticut Player of the Year. Next is Joshua MacDonald, the Huskies pitching coach. He is at the same time the team’s recruiting coordinator. Chris Podeszwa is the volunteer assistant coach. And finally, Jordan Tabakman is the Director of Player Development and Baseball Operations.
