The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Cougars Showcase Camp is a six-hour program that will run from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM on the 16th of July. It is inviting all male baseball players in the 9th grade to 12th grade who aspire to play at the college level. This venue of this summer baseball showcase camp is the state of the art Simmons Complex Roy E. Lee Field which is on the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville campus. In addition, this baseball camp provides the participants an opportunity to train in like a college baseball student-athlete. It will be under the direction of the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Cougars baseball coaching staff. Moreover, this baseball camp includes a pro-style workout, a performance evaluation, and games.

Leading the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Cougars baseball team is Head Coach Sean Lyons, a native of Byron, Illinois. Coach Sean Lyons is now entering his second season at the reins of the Cougars baseball program. He is an Eastern Illinois University graduate. Additionally, Coach Sean Lyons is the former Bradley University associate head coach. He is also a former member of the Eastern Illinois coaching staff. Ultimately, Coach Lyons is one of the best baseball players that come out of Eastern Illinois. In fact, he was honored as of Eastern Illinois’ 20 greatest OVC athletes. The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Cougars assistant baseball coaches are Brandon Scott and Tyler Hancock. Coach Brandon Scott is now entering his second season with the coaching staff. Coach Brandon Scott who hails from Henderson, Kentucky is a bachelor’s degree graduate from Eastern Kentucky University. He is the former Wabash Valley College and Des Moines Area Community College pitching coach and recruiting coordinator. Similarly, Coach Tyler Hancock, a native of Washington, Oklahoma is in his second year with the Cougars baseball coaching staff. He is a bachelor’s degree in sports communication graduate from Newman University. Coach Tyler Hancock is also a master’s degree in sports management graduate from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
