Sam Houston State University Bearkats Baseball Showcase Camp
The Sam Houston State University Bearkats Baseball Showcase Camp is a six-hour event that will run from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM on the 18th of August. It is open to all male baseball players in grade 9 up to junior college. This baseball showcase camp is going to take place at the state of the art Don Sanders Stadium which is on the Sam Houston State University campus. Moreover, this baseball camp does not an overnight option thus participants are responsible for their own lodging. The showcase camp registration fee is $150 per player. In addition, running this event is the Sam Houston State University Bearkats baseball coaching staff.

Matt Deggs, a Texas City, Texas native, is the head coach of the Sam Houston State University Bearkats baseball team. Coach Matt Deggs is now entering his fourth season at the helm of the Bearkats baseball program. He is a bachelor’s degree graduate from Northwood University and a master’s degree graduate from Northwestern State University. Ultimately, Coach Matt Deggs is the 2016 Clay Gould Southland Conference Coach of the Year awardee. This award comes after he led the Bearkats to both the Southland Conference regular-season championship and Southland Conference Tournament championship. Then, the Sam Houston State University Bearkats associate head coach is Jay Sirianni. Coach Jay Sirianni who hails from Indianola, Iowa is now entering his fourth season with the coaching staff. He is a bachelor’s degree in history graduate from the University of Nebraska. At the same time, Coach Jay Sirianni is the team’s pitching coach. The Bearkats assistant baseball coach is Lance Harvell, a native of College Station, Texas. Coach Harvell is a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in sport management graduate from Texas A&M. He is also in his fourth season with the coaching staff. The team’s volunteer assistant coach is Shane Wedd. And finally, Lance Miles is the director of baseball operations.
