Come and join the Saint Mary’s College Gaels Summer Prospect Baseball Camp on the 26th of August. It is open to all male high school baseball players in the graduating classes of 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 203. Those in junior college are also eligible to join. This full-day baseball program will take place at the state of the art Louis Guisto Field. Moreover, this baseball camp emphasizes development on pitching, batting, catching, fielding, and base running skills. It also provides an opportunity for outstanding baseball players to display their skills in front of the college’s baseball coaching staff. The registration cost is $199 per camper. Additionally, the program will run from 9 o’clock in the morning until 5 o’clock in the afternoon. This event is under the supervision of the Saint Mary’s College Gaels college baseball coaching staff.

The head coach of the Saint Mary’s College Gaels baseball team is Eric Valenzuela, a native of Covina, California. Coach Eric Valenzuela is now in his third year at the helm of the Gaels baseball program. He is a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice graduate from Pepperdine University. Ultimate, Coach Eric Valenzuela is the 2016 Coach of the Year Coach of the Year awardee. Under his leadership, the Gaels have their first-ever West Coast Conference regular-season title. Then, the Gaels assistant baseball coaches are Matt Fonteno and Daniel Costanza. Coach Matt Fonteno, a native of Petaluma, California is now in his fifth year with the Gaels coaching staff. He is an alumnus of York College in Nebraska. Meanwhile, Coach Daniel Costanza who hails from Pittsburg, California is now entering his third year with the coaching staff. He is a double major Magna Cum Laude graduate of York College with a B.A. in General Studies and B.S. degree in Biology. He also earned his master’s degree at California State University, East Bay. Finally, the team’s volunteer assistant coach is Ross Gusky. He is an alumnus of Valdosta State University.
