Roanoke College Maroons Baseball Summer Prospect Camp

Join the Roanoke College Maroons Baseball Summer Prospect Camp on the 26th of August. It is set to start at 9:00 AM and end at 5:30 PM. This baseball summer camp is going to take place at the Haley Toyota Field in Salem, Virginia. The event is open to all boys in grade 9 and up who are aspiring to become a college baseball student-athlete. In addition, this baseball prospect camp includes throwing drills, batting practice, 60-yard dash, pitching scrimmages, and games. It is going to replicate a college training environment. The participants will also receive a performance evaluation. In addition, the camp registration fee is $100 for position players and pitchers and $125 for two-way players. This event is an initiative of the Roanoke College Maroons baseball coaching staff.

They are the Maroons and maroon and gray are their identity colors. Overall, the Roanoke Maroons has already two team national championships won by its basketball and lacrosse teams respectively.
 

Roanoke College Maroons Baseball Summer Prospect Camp Organizers

The head coach of the Roanoke College Maroons baseball team is Matt McGuire, a native of Vinton, Virginia. Coach McGuire is now in his fifth season at the helm of the Roanoke College baseball program. He is a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology graduate from the College of William and Mary. Ultimately, Coach Matt McGuire is the 2017 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) NCAA Division III South Region Coach of the Year. This award comes after he led the Maroons to their first-ever Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship and NCAA South Region Championship. As a player, COach McGuire was part of the 1997 VHSL Group AA State Championship team. Then, the Roanoke College Maroons assistant baseball coach is Evan Noell. Coach Noell is with the Maroons coaching staff since the 2012 season. He is a bachelor’s degree in business management graduate from Coastal Carolina University. He was instrumental in the Chants Big South Conference regular season and tournament four championship run. And finally, the team’s student assistant coach is Chance Henry, a native of Daleville, Virginia. He is a recipient of the coveted Cavalier Award. He is also a First Team All-Conference Designated Hitter selection.
