Rice University Owls One-Day Elite Baseball Showcase

The Rice University Owls One-Day Elite Baseball Showcase is a single day event that will fall on the 31st of July. It will run from 9 o’clock in the morning until 5 o’clock in the afternoon at Reckling Park on Rice University campus. The training program is inviting all and any boys 16 to 18 years of age. It is ideal for those who aspire to play at the collegiate level. Additionally, this elite baseball showcase gears on enhancing each participant’s skills by providing modern training methods and techniques. It is going to be a fast-paced training environment that intends to help the players achieve their full potential. The event also provides an opportunity to showcase outstanding baseball abilities. There will also be competitive games and performance evaluation. Moreover, this one-day baseball program is an initiative of the Rice University Owls baseball coaching staff. The event is open for parents’ viewing. The registration fee is $250.00. It is also important to note that the participants need to bring their own baseball bat, caps, cleats and tennis shoes.

Rice University Owls One-Day Elite Baseball Showcase Organizers

The head coach of Rice University Owls baseball team is Wayne Graham, a native of Houston, Texas. He is now entering his 27th season at the reins of the Owls baseball program. Coach Wayne Graham is one of the successful college baseball coaches. In fact, he is a five-time Conference USA Keith LeClair Coach of the Year. Ultimately, under his leadership, the Owls has already a College World Series Title and 20 regular-season or tournament conference championships. The team fas also 23 NCAA Tournament Appearances and seven College World Series appearances. Coach Graham is an inductee to the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. Then, the Owls assistant baseball coaches are John Pope and Paul Janish. Coach John Pope is a Rice University alumnus. He is a two-time Texas High School Baseball Coach of the Year awardee. The team’s volunteer assistant coach is Jordan Kopycinski and Adrian Ramon is the athletics trainer. Finally, Daniel Watson is the Assistant Athletic Director for Baseball Operations and Player Develop.
