Florida Southern College Moccasins Baseball Instructional Youth Camp

Join the Florida Southern College Moccasins Baseball Instructional Youth Camp. It will run from the 16th of July until the 19th of July at the state of the art Henley Field in Lakeland, Florida. This baseball training program is inviting all boys 6 to 13 years of age at any skill level. Furthermore, the training program is set to start at 9:00 AM and end at 2:00 PM on Days 1, 2, and 3 and is set to start at 9:00 AM and end at 12:00 PM on Day 4. All the instruction will be according to the attendee’s age and skill level. The camp registration fee is $200 per player. Overall, this four-day baseball camp will be a fun and motivational training experience.
 
Florida Southern College, or commonly just Florida Southern, is a private, coeducational college in Lakeland, Florida. It is the oldest college in the state of Florida. It is an affiliation of the United Methodist Church. The college is home to Frank Lloyd Wright Architecture collections which is a National Historic Landmark. Furthermore, Florida Southern College is an academic institution of excellence. As a matter of fact, it is 19th in the Regional Universities South category of the 2018 edition of the US News and World Reports Best Colleges rankings. The college is also 24th in the Best Value Schools rankings. Currently, Florida Southern College is serving around 2,500 undergraduate students. 37 percent of this undergraduate student population are male students and 63 percent are female students. Additionally, the Moccasins baseball team has already a total of 17 Sunshine State Conference championships and nine NCAA Division II championships.
 

Florida Southern College Moccasins Baseball Instructional Youth Camp Organizers

The head coach of the Florida Southern College Moccasins is Lance Niekro. He is now entering his sixth year at the helm of the Moccasins baseball program. Coach Lance Niekro is an alumnus of the Florida Southern College. Coach Niekro is former college baseball standout player. As a matter of fact, he is the 1999 Cape Cod Baseball League Most Valuable Player awardee. He is also a 13th round pick of the Philadelphia Phillies but opted to attend to Florida Southern College. Then, the Moccasins assistant baseball coaches are Steven Crabtree, Nate Striz, Joe Alvarez, and Ridge Gonsoulin. Coach Steven Crabtree is a bachelor’s degree in physical education and coaching graduate from the University of Central Florida. He is also a master’s degree in organizational leadership graduate from Nyack University. Coach Crabtree is now in his second season with the coaching staff. At the same time, he is the team’s recruiting coordinator. Coach Nate Striz is with the Moccasins coaching staff since the 2016 season. He is a Florida Southern College alumnus with a degree in Business (Sports Management). Coach Nate Striz is also the head coach of the college JV baseball team.
