The Covenant College Scots Baseball Prospect Day Camp is a fast-paced and advanced baseball training program. It is going to fall on the 25th of August at the scenic Covenant College campus. This elite baseball prospect camp is open to all and any high school boys in the graduating classes of 2019, 2020, and 2021 who desire to play at the college level. Furthermore, the camp registration fee which includes lunch and a free baseball camp t-shirt is $95 per player. The program is open to both position players and two-way players. In addition, this prospect day camp will be under the direction of the Covenant College Scots baseball coaching staff.
Covenant College is a private, coeducational, Christian, liberal arts college in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. It is an affiliation of the Presbyterian Church in America. Covenant College is also part of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) and the Covenant Theological Seminary. Additionally, it has an accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Their official colors are blue and white. The Covenant College Scots baseball team is the 2014 USA South regular season champion. That same year the team has also its first NCAA Division III tournament appearance.
Covenant College Scots Baseball Prospect Day Camp Organizers
Doug Simons is the head coach of the Covenant College Scots baseball team. He is a bachelor’s degree in Education graduate from Pepperdine University. Coach Doug Simons is now entering his 13th year at the helm of the Scots baseball program. Ultimately, Coach Simons led the Scots to its first USA South regular season title, first NCAA Tournament appearance, and first National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) World Series appearance. He is now holding an overall coaching win-loss record of 218-286. Then, the Covenant College Scots assistant baseball coaches are Paul Phillips, KC Simons, Nick Ascue, and Scott Whitted. Coach Paul Phillips is a Covenant College alumnus with a degree in interdisciplinary studies. He is now entering his third season with the coaching staff. Similarly, Coach KC Simons is also a Covenant College alumnus with a degree in interdisciplinary studies. He is now entering his fourth year with the coaching staff. Coach KC Simons is part of the All-USA South third team selection. Moreover, Coach Nick Ascue, an Averett University graduate, is now in his third season with the Scots baseball coaching staff. Finally, Coach Scott Whitted, also a Covenant College alumnus is now in his sixth season with the coaching staff. Coach Whitted is a former baseball and soccer Most Valuable Player (MVP) awardee.
