Join the Auburn University Tigers Summer Baseball Showcase Camp. It is for all boys entering grade 7 to grade 12 who are aspiring to play at the collegiate level. The program is going to run from the 10th of July until the 13th of July. Its venue is the top-notch Samford Stadium-Hitchcock Field at Plainsman Park which is on Auburn University campus. Furthermore, this four-day baseball showcase camp focuses on helping every participant enhance their fundamental baseball skills. It includes base-running, pitching, catching, hitting, infield, outfield, team defense drills. The participants are also going to receive a performance evaluation at the conclusion of the event. In addition, the camp is set to start at 3:00 PM on Day 1 and end at 12:00 PM on Day 4. The registration cost which includes meals and lodging is $430 per camper.

Leading the Auburn University Tigers baseball team is Head Coach Butch Thompson, a native of Amory, Mississippi. He is a Bismarck State College alumnus with a degree in history. Coach Butch Thompson is also a master’s degree in sports administration graduate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Additionally, Coach Butch Thompson is the 2014 Baseball America and American Baseball Coaches Association National Assistant Coach of the Year. He is also the 1997 Regional Tournament Coach of the Year, ABCA Alabama Junior College Coach of the Year, and Southeast Region Coach of the Year and the 2006 Fellowship of Christian Athletes SEC Coach of the Year. He is now in his third season at the helm of the Auburn University Tigers baseball program. Then, the team’s assistant baseball coaches are Karl Nonemaker and Gabe Gross. Coach Karl Nonemaker, a native of Roxbury, New Jersey, is in his first year with the coaching staff. He is a bachelor’s degree in human and organizational development graduate from Vanderbilt University. Coach Gabe Gross, also in his first year with the coaching staff is an alumnus of Auburn University. Finally, the Tigers volunteer assistant coach is Steve Smith.
