The Anderson University Ravens Baseball Prospect Day Camp will fall on the 25th of August from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM. The morning session is for defense and hitting while the afternoon session is for pitching. It is open to all boys in the graduating classes of 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 who are aspiring to take their game to the collegiate level. Moreover, this baseball prospect camp is going to take place at the top-notch Don Brandon Field which is on the Anderson University campus. Participants need to bring their own baseball gears and equipment.
The Anderson University, formerly Anderson College, is a private, coeducational, Christian, liberal arts university in Anderson, Indiana. The university comprises five schools. Namely, the Falls School of Business, the School of Education, the School of Humanities and Behavioral Science, the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, the School of Nursing and Kinesiology, the School of Theology and Christian Ministry, and the School of Science and Engineering. Leading the Anderson University Ravens baseball team is Head Coach Mathew Bair. He is in his first season at the helm of the Anderson University Ravens baseball program. Coach Mathew Bair is a bachelor’s degree in education graduate from Anderson University. He is also a master’s degree in athletic administration graduate from Ball State University. As a player, Coach Bair was part of the Ravens’ team that won three NCAA Division III conference championships. Then, the Anderson University Ravens assistant baseball coaches are Jim Hazen, Carlos Leyva, Jeff Freeman, Zach Barnes, and Nate McKeon. Coach Jim Hazen is now entering his second season with the coaching staff. He is a bachelor’s degree graduate from Anderson University and a master’s degree graduate from Ball State University. Primarily, he is working as the team’s pitching coach. Carlos Leyva is another new addition to the Ravens baseball coaching staff. He is an Indiana University alumnus. At the same time, Coach Leyva is working as a Systems Engineer for IBM. Coach Jeff Freeman is in charge with the infielders, hitters, and first base players. He is also an alumnus of Anderson University. The team’s statistician is J.D. Tammen. And finally, Brandon Schnepp is the graduate assistant coach.
