The University of Massachusetts Amherst Minutemen Baseball Showcase is open to all rising grade 9 to grade 12 male baseball players. It will run from 9:30 AM until 4:00 PM on the 26th of August. It is going to take place at the state of the art Earl Lorden Field which is on the University of Massachusetts Amherst campus. Furthermore, this summer baseball showcase a unique opportunity for players to showcase and learn baseball skills. The training program also emphasizes improvement in hitting, pitching, throwing, and base running skills. In addition, this event will be under the supervision of the University of Massachusetts Amherst Minutemen baseball coaching staff. Every participant is required to bring their own baseball bat, pants, hat, helmet, cleats, and sneakers.

University of Massachusetts Amherst Minutemen Baseball Showcase Organizers
Leading the University of Massachusetts Amherst Minutemen baseball team is Head Coach Matt Reynolds, a native of South Boston, Massachusetts. He is a bachelor’s degree in communication graduate and a master’s degree in education technology graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Coach Matt Reynolds is in his first year at the helm of the Minutemen baseball program. Additionally, Coach Reynolds is the former Washington College head baseball coach. At the same time, Coach Matt Reynolds is a Commissioned Officer and Physical Education Instructor at the Naval Academy. The Minutemen baseball assistant coaches are Nate Cole and Mark Royer. Coach Nate Cole, a native of Wrentham, Massachusetts, is now entering his third season with the coaching staff. He is a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice graduate from Central Connecticut State University. He is the former Southern Connecticut assistant baseball coach. Then, Coach Mark Royer who hails from Fairfax, Virginia is in his first year with the coaching staff. He is a bachelor’s degree in interpersonal communication studies graduate from Eastern University. Coach Royer is the former Swarthmore College assistant coach and the former University of Pennsylvania volunteer assistant coach. Finally, Kyle Decker is the Minutemen baseball volunteer assistant coach.
