The University of Dayton Flyers Baseball Summer Prospect Camp is inviting all and any prospective college baseball athletes, 14 years of age and up. It is an elite baseball identification camp that will run from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on the 17th of July. This event is going to take place at the top-notch Woerner Field which is on the University of Dayton campus. Moreover, this baseball camp will provide the participants a feel for how it is like to train and play at the college level. It also focuses on enhancing the participants’ fundamental skills. They are going to learn the proper mechanics and techniques in batting, catching, fielding, base running, and pitching. In addition, the program is an opportunity to learn and work with the University of Dayton Flyers baseball coaching staff and players. The registration fee is $100 per camper. It includes a free camp t-shirt and handouts. Overall, it will be a motivating and fun experience.

Jayson King, a native of Westminster, Massachusetts, is the head coach of the University of Dayton Flyers baseball team. He is the former associate head coach and recruiting coordinator at Army West Point. Coach Jayson King is a bachelor’s degree in sociology graduate from Framingham State College. He is also a master’s degree in physical education graduate from Springfield College. Furthermore, Coach Jayson King is a seven-time American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Northeast Region Coach of the Year awardee. He is also a seven-time New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Division II Coach of the Year awardee. Ultimate, Coach Jayson King is an inductee into the Franklin Pierce University Hall of Fame. Then, the Flyers assistant baseball coaches are Tommy Chase and Travis Ferrick. Coach Tommy Chase is at the same time the team’s recruiting coordinator. He is an alumnus of the University of Notre Dame. Meanwhile, Coach Travis Ferrick who is in his first season with the coaching staff is a Boston College graduate. The team’s volunteer assistant coach is Will Hare. And finally, Jeff Chonko and Will Melucci are the team managers.
