Samford University Bulldogs High School Elite Baseball Camp

Come and join the Samford University Bulldogs High School Elite Baseball Camp. It is open to all and any grade 9 to grade 12 high school boys who are aspiring to play at the college level. 2018 high school graduates are also eligible to join this program. Furthermore, this baseball camp is going to run from the 17th of July until the 18th of July at the leading edge Joe Lee Griffin Field on Samford University campus. The training program is set to run from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Day 1 and from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Day 2. The registration fee which includes meals and a camp t-shirt is $295 per camper. Moreover, this program provides an opportunity for exceptional baseball players to display their skills in front of the university’s college baseball coaching staff.
 
Samford University, formerly Howard College is a private, coeducational, Christian university in Homewood, Alabama. It is one of the country’s oldest universities. Samford University is an affiliation of the Alabama Baptist Convention. It also has collaborations with international universities like the Hong Kong Baptist University, the Seinan Gakuin University, and the Universidad Blas Pascal. Currently, Samford University is serving around 3,300 undergraduate students. 35 percent of this undergraduate student population are males and 65 percent are females. The university is also serving more or less 2,100 postgraduate students. The university’s student to faculty ratio is 12:1. Samford University is also among the nation’s top academic institutions. As a matter of fact, it is 3rd in Regional Universities South and 1st in Best Colleges for Veterans of the US News and World Reports 2018 Best Colleges rankings. In athletics, the university is competing in the Southern Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I. They are the Bulldogs and blue and red are their official colors. In addition, the Samford Bulldogs baseball team is the 2012 Southern Conference Tournament champion. The team has also one NCAA Tournament appearance.
 

Samford University Bulldogs High School Elite Baseball Camp Organizers

Leading the Samford University Bulldogs baseball team since August of 2004 is Head Coach Casey Dunn. Coach Casey Dunn is a degree in social science secondary education graduate from Auburn University. He is the 2002 Over the Mountain Coach of the Year, the 2003 The Birmingham News Coach of the Year, and the 2006 Ohio Valley Conference  Coach of the Year. Ultimately, under Coach Dunn’s leadership, the Bulldogs has already a Southern Conference Tournament title and an NCAA Tournament appearance. Then, the Bulldogs associate head coach is Tony David. Coach David is an alumnus of the South Alabama University. He is also a former college baseball standout. In fact, he is the 1994-95 Division I Baseball Player awardee. The Bulldogs assistant baseball coach is Tyler Shrout. He is at the same time the team’s pitching coach and recruiting coordinator. Coach Tyler Shrout is a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance graduate from Transylvania University. Moreover, the Bulldogs volunteer assistant coach is Hunter Morris, a native of Huntsville, Alabama. He is the Boston Red Sox’s second-round pick in the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft. Coach Hunter Morris is an alumnus of Auburn University. The volunteer director of player development is Blake Hardegree. Finally, Gerald Tuck is the administrative assistant.
