University of Portland Pilots Summer Baseball Youth Camp

Come and join the University of Portland Pilots Summer Baseball Youth Camp. It will run from the 25th of June until the 27th of June. It is going to take place at the scenic Joe Etzel Field, the home field of the University of Portland Pilots baseball team. The program is open to all and any high school boys who are serious about developing their game. Furthermore, this summer baseball camp incorporates instructions that will improve the players’ fundamentals baseball skills. It also seeks to improve their eye and hand coordination. The training program’s daily schedule is set to start at 9 o’clock in the morning and end at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. The registration price is $175 per camper. Additionally, this event is requiring every participant to bring their own lunch, baseball bat, cap, gloves, helmet, and cleats.
 
The University of Portland, formerly Columbia University, is a private, coeducational, Roman Catholic university in Portland, Oregon. It is an affiliation of the Congregation of Holy Cross and the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities. The university is also a member of the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities. In sports, the university athletics is competing in the West Coast Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I. They are the Pilots and purple and white are their identity colors. The Pilots baseball team has already two Pacific-10 Conference Northern Division Tournament titles.
 

University of Portland Pilots Summer Baseball Youth Camp Organizers

The head coach of the University of Portland Pilots baseball team since June of 2015 is Geoff Loomis. Coach Geoff Loomis is a University of Portland alumnus with a  bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is also a master’s degree in teaching from Pacific University. In addition, Coach Geoff Loomis is an inductee to the highly regarded University of Portland Athletic  Hall of Fame. Under his watch, the team has already two NCAA Baseball Championship appearances. Coach Loomis is a previous business teacher at David Douglas High School in Portland. Then, the Pilots assistant baseball coaches are Jake Valentine and David Tufo. Coach Jake Valentine, a native of Vancouver, Washington is with the coaching staff since August of 2015. He is a bachelor’s degree in communications graduate from Hawai’i Pacific University. Coach Valentine is at the same time the team’s recruiting coordinator. Meanwhile, Coach David Tufo, a native of San Bruno, California is with the coaching staff since 2016. He is a Willamette University graduate with a degree in economics. Coach Tufo is also the Pilots camp coordinator. Finally, the Pilots pitching coach is Connor Lambert, a native of Olympia, Washington. He is an alumnus of the Washington State University.
