University of California Berkeley Golden Bears Premier Prospect Camp

The University of California Berkeley Golden Bears Premier Prospect Camp is inviting all boy and girl baseball players 14 to 20 years of age. It is a two-day baseball training program that will run from the 13th of June until the 14th of June. It is going to take place at the state-of-the-art Evans Diamond which is the home field of the California Golden Bears. Additionally, the schedule is set to run from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Day 1 and from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Day 2. The training program includes infield and outfields sessions, batting, pitching, throwing, and base running drills. There will also be competitive games. It is an ideal venue for exceptional players to showcase their skills. Furthermore, running this baseball prospect camp is the University of California Berkeley Golden Bears baseball coaching staff. It is important to note that the registration fee does not include lunch. Groupings will be in accordance with the participant’s age and skill level.

Mike Neu, a native of Napa, California, is the University of California Berkeley Golden Bears head baseball coach. He is in his first year at the reins of the university’s baseball program. Coach Mike Neu is an alumnus of the University of Miami. He is also a master’s degree in physical education graduate from Ball State University. In addition, Coach Mike Neu is a baseball standout himself. As a matter of fact, he is a Northern California Pitcher of the Year and a Bay Valley Conference Pitcher of the Year awardee. Then, the Golden Bears assistant baseball coaches are Noah Jackson, Pat Shine, and Damon Lessler. Both Coach Noah Jackson and Coach Pat Shine are in their second season with the coaching staff and Coach Damon Lessler is in his first. Coach Pat Shine is the 2007 ABCA West Region Coach of the Year awardee. Meanwhile, Coach Noah Jackson is the co-founder of the First Base Foundation, a baseball mentoring non-profit organization. The team’s strength and conditioning coach is Mike Blasquez. And finally, the Golden Bears director of operations is Joe Slater.
