The Army West Point Black Knights Baseball Prospect Clinic is a full-day event from 12 noon until 5 o’clock in the afternoon on the 21st of June. It is going to take place in the state of the art Double Day Baseball Field. This baseball clinic is inviting all and any boys entering grade 9 up to grade 12. In addition, this baseball training program is going to provide the basic fundamental instruction and information about college recruitment procedures. There will also be pro-style skill drills and competitive games. This baseball prospect clinic is ideal for those who aspire to play at the collegiate level. In fact, the event will be providing the participants a collegiate level training and competition exposure. Running this program is the Army West Point Black Knights baseball coaching staff. It is also important to note that participants need to bring their own baseball gears and equipment. Registration is $150 and is for commuter campers only. Another schedule is also set on the 14th of August.
The United States Military Academy, commonly West Point Army, is a coeducational, U.S. Service Academy in West Point, New York. Its beautiful campus is part of the National Historic Landmark. It also features some of the nation’s historic facilities, namely, the Michie Stadium and the Gillis Field House. West Point Army is offering 45 academic majors. Moreover, its programs have an accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Its faculty comprises 75 percent military officers and 25 percent civilian professors. Currently, West Point Army has more or less 4,300 cadets. In athletics, most of its collegiate teams are competing in the Patriot League of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I. The athletes’ nickname is Black Knights of the Hudson or in short just Black Knights. Meanwhile black, gold, and gray are their identity colors. Furthermore, the Black Knights baseball team has already eight conference championships, seven conference tournament championships, and six NCAA tournament appearances.
Army West Point Black Knights Baseball Prospect Clinic Organizers
Head Coach Jim Foster, a native of Warwick, Rhode Island, is leading the Army West Point Black Knights baseball program since June of 2016. Coach Jim Foster is the 2011 Atlantic-10 Coach of the Year and the 2009 New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association Coach of the Year. He is also the 2009 CollegeBaseballInsider.com National Coach of Year Honorable Mention and a 2005 NCAA Pitching Coach of the Year nominee. Additionally, Coach Jim Foster is a baseball standout player himself. As a matter of fact, he is the 1997 Baseball Weekly’s Minor League Catcher of the Year. The Black Knights pitching coach is Jamie Pinzino, a bachelor’s degree in history graduate from Tufts University. He is also a master’s degree in educational studies graduate from the same university. Then, the team’s hitting coach is John Murphy. He is at the same time the infield coach. Coach John Murphy is a native of Seymour, Connecticut and a bachelor’s degree in psychology graduate from Sacred Heart University. Finally, the Black Knights volunteer assistant coach is Kenny Fleming, who hails from Louisa, Virginia. Coach Kenny Fleming is a Bachelor of Arts degree in history graduate from Averett University.
