Come and join the Millikin University Big Blue High School Baseball Camp. It is going to fall on the 2nd of October at the state of the art Renner Field at Sunnyside Park which is on the Millikin University campus. This baseball camp is open to all high school boys who are serious about improving their baseball skills. Furthermore, this baseball camp is divided into two sessions. The first session which will run from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM is intended for hitters and position players. Meanwhile, the second session which will run from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM is intended for pitchers. The camp registration fee is $50 for hitters and position players and $40 for pitchers. Players may also opt to register both sessions for $70.
Millikin University is a private, coeducational, and comprehensive university in Decatur, Illinois. It is a proud member of the Association of Presbyterian Colleges and Universities. As a whole, the university has an accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission since 1914. It is notable for its high-quality education. Millikin University Big Blue High School Baseball Camp Organizers
Leading the Millikin University Big Blue baseball team is Head Coach Brandon Townsend. Coach Brandon Townsend is now in his fifth year at the helm of the Big Blue baseball program. At the same time, Coach Townsend is a Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM). He is a bachelor’s degree in athletic training graduate from North Central College. Coach Brandon Townsend is also a master’s degree in Athletic Administration graduate from California University in Pennsylvania. He is the former Concordia University-Chicago assistant coach, pitching coach, and recruiting coordinator. Coach Townsend is also the former Central College assistant baseball and basketball coach. Then, the Millikin University Big Blue assistant baseball coaches are Eric Ignatowski and Michael Zellar. Coach Eric Ignatowski is also in his fifth season with the coaching staff. He is an alumnus of Concordia University-Chicago. Coach Eric Ignatowski is also the former Eureka College assistant coach and the former Metro Collegiate Summer Baseball League of Illinois’ Park Ridge Indians head coach. Finally, Coach Michael Zellar is a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science – Human Performance graduate from Buena Vista University. Presently, he is completing his Masters of Coaching and Athletic Administration in Concordia University-Irvine. Coach Zellar is the newest addition to the Big Blue coaching staff.
