Spring Hill College Badgers Baseball Summer Showcase

The Spring Hill College Badgers Baseball Summer Showcase is inviting all high school male baseball players in the graduating classes of 2019, 2020, and 2021. It is going to run from 10 o’clock in the morning until 2 o’clock in the afternoon on the 5th of August. This baseball summer showcase is the perfect venue to display exceptional baseball skills. Moreover, it will take place at the scenic Spring Hill College campus in Mobile, Alabama. This program is going to simulate a real college training environment. There will also be a performance evaluation. In addition, the registration fee is $100 per player. There are only 70 spots available so registration is on a first come first served basis.
 
Spring Hill College is the first Catholic college in the South. It is a private, nonprofit, coeducational college in Mobile, Alabama. Its founder is Bishop Michael Portier, the first Archdiocese of Mobile. The institution is a member of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU). Spring Hill College is among the nation’s top college and universities. As a matter of fact, it is 14th in the U.S. News and World Report ranking for top colleges in the South. Also, it has a Tier 2, National Liberal Arts Colleges ranking in the 2017 edition of Best Colleges. Currently, it accommodates around 1,300 undergraduate students. 37 percent of this undergraduate student population are male students and 67 percent are female students. This undergraduate student population is also through a selective enrollment acceptance rate of 44 percent. Correspondingly, Spring Hill College’s student to faculty ratio is 14:1. It is also serving around 200 postgraduate students. In the sporting world, Spring Hill College fields 19 men’s and women’s athletic teams. They are known as the Badgers. These teams are campaigning in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II, Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). The university’s official colors are white and purple. Christopher P. Puto, Ph.D. is Spring Hill College’s current president.
 

Spring Hill College Badgers Baseball Summer Showcase Organizers

Leading the Spring Hill College Badgers baseball team is Head Coach Frank Sims, a native of Charleston, Illinois. Coach Frank Sims is now in his 33rd year at the helm of the Spring Hill College Badgers baseball program. He is a bachelor’s degree graduate from the University of Iowa. Ultimate, Coach Frank Sims is a five-time Conference Coach of the Year awardee. He led the Badgers into three Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Championships. Coach Frank Sims is now holding an overall head coaching win-loss record of 914-870-3. Then, the Spring Hill Badgers assistant baseball coach is Andy McCall. Coach Andy McCall is now in his fourth year in the assistant coaching role. He is the team’s former graduate assistant coach. Coach McCall is a Spring Hill College alumnus and was a former college standout baseball player as well. Furthermore, the Spring Hill Badgers graduate assistant coach is Corey Thompson, a native of Lakeland, Florida. The Point University graduate is now entering his second season with the coaching staff. The volunteer assistant coach is Michael Druhan and the student assistant coach is Alex Jones. Dani Ellis is the Badgers head athletic trainer. And finally, Abigail Hunt and James Scarbrough are the team’s assistant athletic trainers.
