University of South Alabama Jaguars Baseball Prospect Showcase

The University of South Alabama Jaguars Baseball Prospect Showcase will run from 9 o’clock in the morning until 1 o’clock in the afternoon on the 2nd of September. The program is open to all high school boys in the graduating classes of 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. It will be under the supervision of the University of South Alabama Jaguars baseball coaching staff. Moreover, this baseball showcase camp is a venue to display exceptional baseball skills in front of college baseball recruiting staffs. It is going to take place at the top-notch Stanky Field which is on the University of South Alabama campus. In addition, the camp registration fee is $150 per participant. There only 100 available spots so registration is on a first come first served basis.

Mark Calvi, a native of Marco Island, Florida, is the head coach of the University of South Alabama Jaguars baseball team. He is a bachelor’s degree in secondary education graduate from Nova Southeastern University. He is now entering his seventh season at the helm of the Jaguars baseball program. Ultimately, Coach Mark Calvi is the 2013 Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year and American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Diamond South Central Region Coach of the Year awardee. He is also the 2015 SBC Ron Maestri Coach of the Year and the Large College Division-Division I Coach of the Year. Then, the University of South Alabama Jaguars assistant baseball coaches are Bob Keller, Chris Prothro, and Alan Luckie. Coach Chris Prothro who is at the same time the team’s recruiting coordinator is in his second season with the coaching staff. He is a bachelor’s degree in history graduate from Arizona State University and an associate’s degree graduate from Crowder College. Additionally, Coach Prothro is the former Nicholls State associate head coach and recruiting coordinator. Coach Alan Luckie is now entering his 11th season with the Jaguars coaching staff. He is an alumnus of Spring Hill College. Finally, Andrew Carden is the director of baseball operations.
