Learn and play with the best at the Ohio University Bobcats Baseball August Prospect Camp. It will run from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM on the 26th of August. This baseball prospect camp is going to take place at the state of the art Bob Wren Stadium which is on the Ohio University campus. In addition, this training camp is open to all high school male baseball players who are interested to become a part of the Bobcats college baseball team. The training program will cover both the offensive and defensive aspects of the game. There will also be a performance evaluation and assessment. Furthermore, campers need to bring their own baseball bat, gloves, helmets, catching gears for catchers, cleats, and sneakers. Check-in is set to start at 9:15 AM.

Leading the Ohio University Bobcats baseball team is Head Coach Rob Smith. He is a bachelor’s degree graduate from Indiana University. Coach Rob Smith is now in his sixth year at the helm of the Bobcats baseball program. Ultimately under his six-year leadership, he already led the Bobcats to two NCAA Championship appearances and two Mid-American Conference tournament titles. Coach Rob Smith is also the 2008 Collegiate Baseball Teaching Professional of the Year awardee. Then, the Ohio Bobcats assistant baseball coaches are Craig Moore and CJ Wamsley. Coach Craig Moore is also in his sixth year with the coaching staff. The Fremont, Nebraska native is a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA graduate from Lake Erie College. He was also the former 65th round draft pick of the Major League Baseball’s St. Louis Cardinals. On the other hand, Coach CJ Wamsley is in his fourth season with the coaching staff. He is at the same time the team’s recruiting coordinator. Coach CJ Wamsley is a bachelor’s degree in corporate and organizational communication graduate from Western Kentucky University. And finally, the Ohio Bobcats volunteer assistant baseball coach is Ryne Romick.
