Augustana University Vikings Summer Baseball Prospect Camp

The Augustana University Vikings Summer Baseball Prospect Camp is open to all male high school students who will graduate in 2019 and 2020. It is a single day event that will fall on the 7th of August. This prospect camp is going to take place at the state of the art Karras Park–Ronken Field which is on the Augustana University campus. In addition, this baseball camp will include a batting practice, a 60-yard dash, a defensive position evaluation, and competitive games. This camp is ideal for those who are looking to showcase their exceptional baseball skills. Furthermore, the event is requiring all the participants to bring their own baseball bat, gloves, hat, helmet, and water bottle.
 
Augustana University, formerly Augustana College, is a private, coeducational, Norwegian-heritage, liberal arts university in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It is an affiliation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. As a whole, the university has an accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission. Presently, the university president is Stephanie Herseth Sandlin. Augustana University’s current undergraduate student population is 1,665. 41 percent of this undergraduate student population are male students and 59 percent are female students. In athletics, the university is competing in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II as the Vikings. Navy blue and gold are their identity colors. Additionally, the Augustana Vikings baseball team is the 2018 NCAA Division II champion.
 

Augustana University Vikings Summer Baseball Prospect Camp Organizers

Head Coach Tim Huber, a native of Belle Plaine, Minnesota, is leading the Augustana University Vikings baseball team. He is a bachelor’s degree in sport management graduate from Minnesota State University. Coach Tim Huber is also a master’s degree in educational leadership with a physical education emphasis graduate from Southwest Minnesota State University. He is now entering his 10th year at the helm of the Vikings baseball program. Ultimately, Coach Tim Huber is the 2006 Minnesota Community College Conference (MCCC) Southern Division Coach of the Year awardee. Under his leadership, the Vikings have already two NCAA Tournament Appearances and an NSIC Tournament Championship. He is now holding an NCAA coaching overall win-loss record of 313-180. Then, the Vikings assistant baseball coach is Mark Moriarty. He is a former pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Concordia University Wisconsin. And finally, the Augustana University Vikings graduate assistant baseball coach is Max Casper, a native of Circle Pines, Minnesota. Coach Max Casper is now in his second season with the coaching staff. He is a bachelor’s degree in sport and recreation leadership and a minor in public relations and advertising graduate from North Dakota State University. Coach Max Casper is now completing his master’s degree in Sports Administration and Leadership at Augustana University.
