The Centre College Colonels Summer Baseball Youth Camp is a four-day training program that will run from the 16th of July until the 19th of July. Its daily schedule is set to start at 9:00 AM and end at 12:30 PM. This baseball camp will cover hitting, throwing, catching, baserunning, pitching, infield and outfield skill development sessions and drills. There will also be competitive games. In addition, this four-day baseball camp is open to all boys 7 to 12 years of age at any skill level. All the instructions and groupings are in accordance with the participant’s age and skill level. Available spots are limited, thus, registration is on a first come first served basis. This training program is under the supervision of the Centre College Colonels baseball coaching staff.
Centre College is a private, coeducational, undergraduate, liberal arts college in Danville, Kentucky. Centre College Colonels Summer Baseball Youth Camp Organizers
The head coach of Centre College Colonels baseball team is Drew Briese. He is a Centre College alumnus with a bachelor’s degree in history. Coach Drew Briese is also a master’s degree in kinesiology and health promotion with a concentration in teaching and coaching graduate from the University of Kentucky. He is now in his second season at the helm of the Centre College Colonels baseball program. Moreover, Coach Drew Briese is the former Birmingham Southern College Panthers assistant baseball coach. Coach Briese was instrumental in the Panthers 10 conference tournament and regular season championship run. At the same time, Coach Briese is working as the 15u National Team assistant coach. Then, the Centre College Colonels pitching coach is Ryan Gaines. Coach Ryan Gaines, a native of Dunwoody, Georgia, is now in his first season with the coaching staff. He is a cum laude graduate of bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Birmingham Southern College. Coach Ryan Gaines is a former top college baseball player. In fact, he is the 2016 Southern Atlantic Association Pitcher of the Year awardee and an ABCA All-American selection. He is also an All-SAA first team selection in 2017, and SAA’s all-time wins leader.
