Mercer University Bears Five Day Baseball Summer Camp

The Mercer University Bears Five Day Baseball Summer Camp is going to run from the 18th of June until the 22nd of June. It is inviting all and any boys 5 to 13 years of age who are looking to learn baseball through a fun training environment. This five-day baseball summer camp is going to take place at the 500-seater Claude Smith Field which on the Mercer University campus. In addition, the camp registration fee is $195 per camper. It is set to run daily from 8 o’clock in the morning until 4 o’clock in the afternoon. Participants are required to bring their own baseball bat, gloves, cleats, hat, swimming trunks, and sneakers.

Mercer University Bears Five Day Baseball Summer Camp Organizers

Craig Gibson, a native of Macon, Georgia, is the head coach of the Mercer University Bears baseball team. He is a Mercer University alumnus with a bachelor’s degree in history and health, physical education and recreation. Coach Craig Gibson is now entering his 15th year at the helm of the Bears baseball program. Ultimately, Coach Craig Gibson is a two-time Southern Conference Coach of the Year awardee. He is also a two-time Atlantic Sun Conference Coach of the Year awardee. Under his leadership, the Bears has already two SoCon Regular Season Championships, an ASUN Regular Season Championship, and an ASUN Tournament Championship. Coach Craig Gibson is now holding a 508-353 overall coaching win-loss record. Then, the Bears associate head coach is Brent Shade, a native of Toledo, Ohio. Coach Shade is now in his 10th season with the coaching staff. He is a bachelor’s degree in business management graduate from Defiance College. Coach Brent Shade is also a master’s degree in business administration graduate from Heidelberg University. Moreover, the team’s assistant baseball coach is Willie Stewart, an alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Asheville. He is now in his third season in the assistant coaching position for the Bears. Finally, Ian Humphrey is the volunteer assistant coach.
